25 jun (Reuters) - El Nasdaq subía el martes gracias al alza de Nvidia y otros valores relacionados con la inteligencia artificial, mientras que el Dow Jones retrocedía desde su máximo de un mes a la espera de los datos de inflación de esta semana para conocer la orientación de la política monetaria de la Reserva Federal.
* El Promedio Industrial Dow Jones bajaba 150,00 puntos, o un 0,38%, a 3.261,21 unidades; el S&P 500 subía 8,94 puntos, o un 0,16%, a 5.456,81 unidades; y el Nasdaq Composite ganaba 115,77 puntos, o un 0,66%, a 17.612,58 unidades.
* La empresa de chips de inteligencia artificial Nvidia avanzaba un 3,3%, recuperándose en parte de pérdidas después de tres sesiones consecutivas a la baja. Aun así, el valor ha caído un 11% desde su máximo histórico de la semana pasada.
* La cotización en Estados Unidos de Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, Broadcom y Qualcomm subían entre un 0,5% y un 1,6%, mientras que un índice de valores de semiconductores ganaba un 0,8% tras caer más de un 3% en la sesión anterior.
* El sector tecnológico del S&P 500 ganaba un 1,0%, repuntando de las pérdidas del lunes. Sectores como los servicios públicos y la energía retrocedían tras subir en la sesión del lunes, mientras que los sectores industrial y de materiales lideraron los descensos.
* El Dow descendía desde su máximo de un mes, arrastrado por las pérdidas de los valores industriales y de consumo discrecional, mientras que el índice de pequeña capitalización perdía un 0,5%.
* El principal acontecimiento de la semana será el reporte del viernes del índice de precios de los gastos de consumo personal (PCE), indicador de inflación preferido por la Fed. El mercado ve un 61% de probabilidades de un recorte de las tasas de interés de 25 puntos básicos en septiembre, y alrededor de dos para finales de año, según datos de FedWatch de LSEG.
* La cifra de junio del índice de confianza del consumidor bajó a 100,4 desde los 101,3 revisados del mes anterior, pero estuvo en línea con las expectativas.
* "Si los datos económicos siguen debilitándose, es posible que la renta variable tenga que tomarse un respiro, a menos y hasta que la baja de tasas de septiembre sea más probable", dijo John Velis, estratega macroeconómico para las Américas de BNY Mellon.
