Un muerto en Líbano por nuevos ataques israelíes
El ejército israelí llevó a cabo este martes nuevos ataques en el este de Líbano que dejaron al menos un muerto, según una fuente de seguridad, horas después de que el movimiento libanés Hezbolá dijera haber disparado más de cien cohetes contra posiciones militares de Israel.
Hezbolá dijo actuar en represalia por un ataque aéreo israelí que dejó un muerto la víspera cerca de Baalbeck, un bastión de Hezbolá en el este del país, fronterizo con Siria.
Desde el inicio de la guerra entre Israel y Hamás en la Franja de Gaza, el 7 de octubre, la violencia es diaria entre el ejército israelí y Hezbolá, aliado del movimiento islamista palestino.
Una fuente de seguridad libanesa dijo a AFP que una persona murió el martes y otras diez resultaron heridas en los ataques que destruyeron por completo un edificio a la entrada de Saraaine, una localidad a unos 20 km al sur de Baalbeck.
Un segundo ataque israelí tuvo como objetivo un edificio en la localidad de Al-Nabi Chit.
El ejército israelí confirmó ataques de su aviación "en profundidad" contra "dos centros de mando militar de Hezbolá en la zona de Baalbeck", en respuesta al lanzamiento de cohetes hacia el norte de Israel.
Según Israel, Hezbolá utiliza estos sitios para almacenar recursos para su arsenal, agregó el comunicado.
El lunes el ejército israelí anunció el ataque de dos instalaciones de las fuerzas aéreas de Hezbolá en la región. En respuesta, el movimiento proiraní dijo el martes que había lanzado "más de cien cohetes tipo Katyusha" hacia dos bases militares en la zona del Golán, limítrofe con Líbano.
Desde el inicio de los incidentes en la frontera, el 8 de octubre, al menos 318 personas, la mayoría combatientes de Hezbolá, y al menos 54 civiles han muerto en Líbano, según un recuento de AFP.
