Maduro se hunde en un mar de baja popularidad
Según cinco encuestas, la mayoría rechaza su gestión
MIAMI.- Cinco encuestas divulgadas en los últimos días revelan que el régimen de Nicolás Maduro zozobra en una mar de impopularidad, con la mayoría de los venezolanos que consideran que la situación del país es muy mala y atribuyen la culpa al nuevo líder de la "revolución bolivariana" y a su equipo de gobierno.
Los sondeos mostraron que la mayoría cree que el presidente agotó el capital político que le dejó el fallecido Hugo Chávez, y que hace muy poco para resolver el grave problema de inseguridad y desabastecimiento.
Pese a que los estudios siguen mostrando la alta polarización de la sociedad entre chavistas y opositores, cuatro de las cinco encuestas le otorgan a Maduro una lectura desfavorable sobre su gestión, con el quinto sondeo mostrando un empate técnico entre los valores positivos y negativos.
El promedio de las cinco encuestas coloca el rechazo a la gestión de Maduro en 51,3%, frente a un 44,5% que la aprueba. Según los datos publicados por Varianzas, IVAD, Consultores 21, Hernández Hercon y Datanálisis, los números sugieren que la lealtad de un segmento importante del chavismo está siendo puesta a prueba por el acelerado deterioro de las condiciones de vida.
El más severo de los estudios para el régimen es el informe de Hernández Hercon, que coloca la popularidad del heredero político de Chávez en sólo 41%, con una tasa de rechazo que ronda el 56%.
Las llamas del descontento están siendo reavivadas significativamente por los graves problemas de desabastecimiento y la galopante inflación, situación que comienza a rivalizar con la delincuencia e inseguridad como tema de mayor preocupación.
Según Consultores 21, un 87,2% de las personas consultadas dijo que no consigue con facilidad los productos que quiere comprar, en contraste con un 11% que dijo que sí lo hacia.
El estudio de IVAD consigna que el 43,4% de los consultados cree que el gobierno es el principal responsable de los problemas del país y otro 9,5% responsabilizó a Maduro; un 10,2%, a los alcaldes; 7,3%, a los gobernadores; 9,2%, a los empresarios, y 6,9%, a la oposición.
La encuesta de Hernández Hercon, por otro lado, resaltó que la mayoría de los venezolanos cree que Maduro está conduciendo el país en una dirección incorrecta, con 58,1% advirtiendo que el modelo económico implementado no resolverá la crisis económica del país.
Esa percepción refuerza las proyecciones de que Maduro perdería por un amplio margen frente al candidato presidencial de la oposición, Henrique Capriles, de producirse una nueva elección. Unos nuevos comicios presidenciales, de haberse realizado a finales de julio, le habrían dado una victoria a Capriles de 50,5%, frente al 41% de Maduro.
Por otro lado, la encuesta de Consultores 21 también reveló la poca credibilidad que los venezolanos otorgan a algunos de los pronunciamientos más estrambóticos de Maduro. Por ejemplo, el 65% dijo no creer que a Chávez le inyectaron el cáncer que provocó su muerte.
